Dollar Thrifty Lengthens Purchase Agreement with Ford
TULSA, Okla. — Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group revealed on Wednesday that it has extended its vehicle supply agreement with Ford. Executives said the extension is for an additional year until August 2013.
Dollar Thrifty also noted the agreement can be extended further with joint approval.
"We are very pleased with our first-year results under our Ford supply agreement and are excited about Ford's future product offerings," stated Scott Thompson, president and chief executive officer of Dollar Thrifty.
"We continue to receive very positive feedback from our rental customers on Ford vehicles," Thompson continued.
"This contract extension is a continuation of our long-term commitment to maintaining a diversified fleet," he added
Dollar Thrifty revealed that its 2010 vehicle purchases include 34 percent from Ford, 30 from Chrysler, 20 percent from General Motors, 6 percent from Nissan and 10 percent from other automakers.
