InsideLine.com Claims Award for Web Development
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — One of the sister sites of Edmunds.com, InsideLine.com, recently picked up an award for excellence during the South by Southwest Interactive Festival held annually in Austin, Texas.
Site officials were given the 2010 Hive Award for excellence as a top automotive news and opinion Web site.
Basically, the goal of the annual Hive Awards is to recognize many segments of Web-development personnel such as programmers, coders and information architects who create innovative sites and applications.
"On behalf of the many dedicated people working behind the scenes at InsideLine.com, we appreciate the recognition for our efforts to set the standard for excellence among Web sites — not just in the automotive category," noted Kay Moore, senior director of InsideLine.com.
Edmunds.com launched InsideLine.com back in 2005. The site features photos, videos, road-tests, automotive news and industry commentary. It's accessible on smartphones as well as computers.
Officials also pointed out that the site was recently redesigned and optimized for 1280×1024 screen resolution, making it one of the top sources for high-resolution automotive content.
"Last week's coverage of the 2010 New York auto show, for example, showcases the talent that comes together for car enthusiasts' viewing pleasure," stressed Scott Oldham, editor in chief of InsideLine.com.
