Carvana’s same-day delivery service continues its expansion in 2024
Carvana’s same-day vehicle delivery service, launched last summer, has continued its rapid expansion into 2024.
The online used car retailer announced today that it is bringing the service to the Sacramento, Calif., area, making the state’s capital the latest market to offer delivery within hours of an online purchase of select vehicles.
The company said local customers selling their vehicles to Carvana can also get as-soon-as same day drop-off at specific locations throughout the state.
Carvana said the service is possible because of its extensive infrastructure, including its logistics fleet and a nationwide network of inspection and reconditioning centers, such as the one in nearby Rocklin, Calif., that will support the Sacramento market.
“Carvana’s same day delivery offering is a testament to our commitment to providing efficient, customer-centric solutions that meet the evolving needs of car buyers,” senior director of market operations Jacqueline Hearns said in a news release.
“Now Sacramento-area customers can experience the best of both worlds: the selection and convenience of online shopping and the speed of same-day delivery right to their doorstep.”
The service, which was launched in Arizona last August, now covers 14 markets in 11 states.
Five of those markets have added since the new year. Carvana announced the addition of Birmingham, Ala., and San Antonio, Texas in January. This month, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia and now Sacramento have joined the list.
Other markets offering same-day delivery include Indianapolis, Ind., Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Tampa and Orlando, Fla., and Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio.
Carvana said it plans to continue expanding same-day delivery to more locations across the nation.
