Toyota Launches Hefty Incentives
TORRANCE, Calif. — In an effort to boost sales after the recent turmoil over recalls, Toyota rolled out what it calls the "most far-reaching sales program in its history" on Tuesday.
Basically, the March Sales Event — a national marketing campaign that runs through April 5 — will feature financing, leasing and customer loyalty offers.
This includes zero-percent APR financing for up to 60 months for qualified buyers on 2010 Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Matrix, RAV4, Tundra and Yaris models; as well as low lease rates for qualified shoppers on 2010 Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Matrix, Prius, RAV4, Tundra and Venza models.
An example of one of the lease deals is a $179 per month lease for a Corolla. Also, there is a $199 per month lease offer available on the Camry. Toyota officials emphasize that offers may vary from region to region.
Additionally, customers who buy or lease a new vehicle and prove that there is already a Toyota, Lexus or Scion model registered in their household will receive a complimentary two-year premium maintenance program.
The automaker also launched a TV ad campaign to get the word out about the offers. They started Tuesday and showcase the zero-percent financing offer, and also include discussions with customers who recently bought Toyota models offering their feedback.
Meanwhile, there will be other ad spots where Toyota dealership associates — such as salespeople, customer service representatives and technicians, just to name a few — thank customers for standing behind the automaker.
"We launched this program to expand the focus on our customers and thank them for their loyalty by adding value to our products," stated Bob Carter, group vice president and general manager of Toyota Division for Toyota Motor Sales, USA. "We are standing behind our customers and our vehicles. It's a great time to buy a Toyota."
