BMW Spotlights 2010 Center of Excellence Dealers
WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — BMW of North America unveiled its 2010 Center of Excellence Award recipients on Thursday, honoring its top performing dealerships who were selected for the recognition based on strength in the areas of customer satisfaction, brand representation, operational excellence and profitability.
Among the group of 24 recognized dealers, several have won the COE honors many times.
For example, award winner Reeves Import Motorcars in Tampa, Fla., has now been named a COE nine times, while East Bay BMW (Pleasanton, Calif.) and Flow BMW (Winston-Salem, N.C.) each have been given honors for the eighth time.
Isringhausen Imports (Springfield, Ill.) has earned COE recognition for the seventh year.
Moreover, taking home COE honors for the seventh consecutive year was Global Imports (Atlanta), while Hendrick BMW (Charlotte, N.C.) was recognized for the sixth straight time.
"Winning Center of Excellence seven consecutive years is a great accomplishment for our dealership," Randy Pullen — the general sales manager/pre-owned director at Global Imports BMW/Mini — told Auto Remarketing on Thursday.
"We have always compared our winning streak (to) our own hometown Atlanta Braves' record divisional titles," Pullen continued. "In today's very competitive environment, this is one of the most difficult accomplishments with BMW and we are very honored to represent the very best of BMW dealerships."
Continuing on, BMW applauded its dealer network for the continued emphasis on sales facilities and workshops, as dealers spent $340 million in those areas last year.
The automakers further praised its dealers for understanding how beneficial improving business processes and putting an emphasis on top-notch customer service has been, "making BMW one of the successful franchises in the U.S."
"All BMW dealerships offer a premium experience to our customers, but the 24 Center of Excellence winners excelled in the way they take care of their customers and represent the BMW brand," commented Peter Miles, executive vice president of operations, BMW of North America. "It's a highly coveted award and our top dealers worked hard all year to achieve this high honor – we congratulate them."
