Longtime ADESA/KAR Global/OPENLANE executive Summer Ernsberger has joined America’s Group (AAA), parent company of America’s Auto Auction and AXLE Funding, as executive director of revenue to generate the development of new products and services for the company’s growth initiatives.

AAA said Ernsberger will “delve into the company’s various business segments to identify opportunities and develop procedures that will drive revenue growth and buyer expansion at our auctions.”

Ernsberger joined ADESA in 2004 and served almost 20 years with what became KAR Global and is now OPENLANE, most recently as vice president of new business development for that company’s BacklotCars platform.

“I’ve worked with Summer and know she will be a strong asset to our company,” AAA executive director of national sales Sawyer Walker said. “She has a proven track record of transforming good ideas into high-growth ventures supported by strong operational foundations.

“Summer is a motivating leader who sets high personal standards, leads by example and inspires teams to deliver desired results.”

Ernsberger is the latest addition to AAA’s revenue team, following the hire of Ben Murdock as senior vice president of revenue earlier this month.
