Auto repair software firm Vehlo makes big changes at the top
Vehlo is making changes at the top of its organizational chart.
The provider of software and financial technology for the auto repair industry has named Josh Weis as its new CEO. He succeeds Michelle Fischer, who is transitioning to a role as chairwoman of the company’s board of directors after four years as chief executive.
Weis comes on board from commercial cleaning services franchisor Office Pride, where as CEO he led the company’s record-breaking growth over the past two years, Vehlo said in a news release. He previously served as executive vice president of Protect My Ministry, which later became part of Ministry Brands, working on revenue growth, M&A activity and multibillion-dollar recapitalizations.
“It’s great to be back in the software space with a healthy, scaling business like Vehlo, which has remarkable people and culture, leading products and solutions, and a passion for serving its clients better than anyone else in the market,” Weis said.
“I’m especially eager to collaborate with the Vehlo team and customers to continue the momentum into the company’s next chapter.”
In Fischer’s tenure as CEO, she grew the Vehlo platform from 6,000 rooftops, five products and 100 employees to more than 30,000 rooftops, 15 products and 500 employees, with triple-digit net customer retention, the company said. She led Vehlo through recapitalizations led by PSG and current control investor Greater Sum Ventures.
“I’m grateful to Michelle for her outstanding and people-first leadership approach that helped Vehlo create industry-leading solutions for auto repair shops and dealer service lanes nationwide,” GSV CEO and founder Ross Croley said. “Her continued guidance combined with Josh’s keen operational and growth expertise will be a powerful force in shaping Vehlo’s future success.”
The company also promoted longtime chief operating officer Brian Wagner to president and COO, and added three new executives to the leadership team: Bill Roselli as chief financial officer, Rob Hurst as chief revenue officer and Robert Patrick in the newly created role of chief product and technology officer.
Vehlo said Roselli, Hurst and Patrick have decades of experience guiding software-as-a-service platforms to profitable growth and have held leadership roles in various private-equity sponsored businesses.
“I couldn’t be more confident in this stellar team of executives and their vision for the future, as Vehlo makes strides in its mission to be the preferred partner to an industry rapidly adopting digital tools and modernization,” Fischer said. “I am looking forward to supporting this team, the rest of our veeps and our loyal customers through my continued work on the board of directors.”
